A lieutenant of the Medical Corps

This elegant officer (note the nice moustache) belonged probably to the Veterinary Corps of the US Army. The photograph was taken in Tréveray (Meuse, France) probably in 1917.

  1. This is a very fine portrait, partly because your photographer used natural outdoor light instead of his studio. I wonder how many horses and mules this veterinarian cared for during the war.
    Is this from your collection of glass plate negatives?
