Propaganda Bombing in Milan


Even if I live in Milan, I’ve realized that only a few of my posts is dedicated to this town. That’s why I wanted to share with you this picture of a pacific bombing of the town during the Great War. Indeed, the airship doesn’t throw any bomb, but leaflets for a War Loan.

The town was bombed once (on February 14, 1916) by some Austro-Hungarian airplanes during the Great War, and was heavily destroyed by Allied bombings during WW2.
