A German workshop for British tanks

Another picture dedicated to the topic of British tanks reused by German Army during the Great War (see yesterday’s post). I’ve found this other picture, which shows a huge worskshop where such tanks were repaired. I’ve counted more than 10 of them, does anyone have any idea of the amount of British tanks reused by German Army? According to a caption found on the Web, this picture was taken in December 1917 in Charleroi (Belgium).

  1. Fascinating! I never knew that tanks could be recycled. It does spark this question: How did the Germans collect a disabled British tank? Did they have a larger armored tractor designed to pull heavy equipment out from the front lines?
