During a short stay in Verona (yes, I am traveling a lot), I had the chance to visit by chance the former Casa del Mutilato (House of the maimed soldier), a building clearly built during fascist era. Indeed the project was decided in 1931 and the building, located near Piazza Bra, was inaugurated in 1934 by Carlo Delcroix.
Its architect was Ruperto Banterle.
The architect was the author of the tow monumental groups which can be seen on both side of the main entrance. On the left, a soldier holds a maimed soldier.
On the right side, the soldiers defends Italy.
