Wounded places, wounded art


By a happy coincidence, I was in Verona and Vicenza during the week-end, when the commemoration of Italy’s entry in WW1 was celebrated (see my yesterday’s post). Local publishers and newspapers are much more active than in Milan, and I’ve bought tons of newly published books too! And I had the chance to visit the Gallerie d’Italia in Vicenza. Just like in its twin-museum in Milan, an exhibition about the Great War was held. Its content was different, as the exhibition was about wounded places and wounded art.

To be honest, I found this exhibition in Vicenza much more interesting than the one in Milan. Here are some views of panoramic sketches…
