Wine for the soldiers

I am just back from a short journey in France; the trip was not linked to the Great War but everywhere I go there’s always something which can be linked in some way to WW1. Even if I have probably have it in my library, I’ve found for a very reasonable price (3 euro) a 1941 edition of René Benjamin’s novel, Gaspard. The novel isn’t itself very interesting, but the book contains 21 etchings done by Renefer. Here’s one of them, about a distribution of wine to soldiers. If you’re interesting in that topic, please read this old post of mine!
