Public Warning

In May 1915, the German High Command had made the strategic decision to bomb the British mainland using airships. The initial target list included military bases; fuel, ammunition and other military stores, military barracks; and the London Docklands.

Civilians soon discovered the effects of aerial bombings. Several leaflets and posters were published, like this one, created to help people to see the difference between British airplanes and airships and German ones.
