Building a bridge


The role of WW1 Italian engineers is somehow underestimated; without their help, mountain warfare would have been impossible. These men were able to build roads and dig galleries in mountains. In plains, their help was essentiel to allow troops to go across rivers, when bridges were missing or had been destroyed.
