It was 96 years ago: On November 4, 1918, at 3 PM, war ended on the Italian front. The war for this country had begun in 1915. As an illustration, I’ve chosen the cover of the weekly Domenica del Corriere, drawn by A. Beltrame, which shows the allegory of Victory guiding Italian soldiers. In a very subtle way, Beltrame represented almost all corps of Italian Army: the Ardito (with his knife), the Alpino with his typical hat, a pilot with his leather helmet, a Carabiniere on the right side, a cavalryman with his helmet with a black cross…
