When Science-Fiction meets the Great War

And as a (temporary) conclusion for this series of posts dedicated to comics and the Great War, here’s one you wouldn’t expect for sure: we find the Great War in a French series of Science-Fi comics: “Valérian agent spatio-temporel”, to be more precise in the album Sur les terres truquées, written by J.C. Mézières & P. Christin in 1977. In this story, an alien, fascinated by world history, recreates events of the past; which includes the trenches of the first world war.
