A dramatic picture for today, which shows an assault of Italian infantry against Austro-Hungarian positions on Monte Cucco, in Isonzo region. This picture, like the other ones published this week, is a recent reprint of a picture previously published in war magazines, probably in this case the Illustrazione Italiana. Rather strangely, this image is rather scarse on the web. I’ve only found two sites who used it: one about war on Monte Mosciagh (which is on the Asiago Plateau) and another one about the action of the Catanzaro Brigade during Isonzo battles.

Pero c’é due Monti Cucco in norte del’ Italia : quello del Isonzo ma anche un Monte Cucco di Pozze Verso Asiago )
Non so si c’era un attaca per il secondo Cucco… ? La denominazione non é sicura buona sul sitio web trovato…
