Chevaux de frise


This post is obviously linked to the “Cheval de frise” published some time ago, and shows another view of the surviving chevaux de frise on the hill of Vauquois. Such defensive systems are sometimes called “knife rests” (because of their shape), but it seems this synonim wasn’t used during the Great War.
