The Dressing Station

This pictures clearly shows a French “Poste de Secours“, i.e. a dressing station. Thanks to a very detailed legend on its back (probably written well after the war), we know that these men belonged to the 407th régiment d’infanterie (as written on their collars), and were musicians with stretcher bearers functions. This dressing station was the one of the 2nd battalion, and this photograph was taken on 10 May 1918 in the caverns of Limonval, near Crécy au Mont.
