The War Memorial of Laigueglia

Another War Memorial of the Ligurian coast for today. Laigueglia is a small town close to Alassio. Its War Memorial is quite interesting because it shows the close relationship between the town and the see, as the usual soldier with an Adrian helmet is replaced by a sailor. 12 men of the town died during the Great War; 3 of them were indeed sailors. The sculpture is a work of Carlo Fait, and was realized before 1925.
